Jenny Davis is a writer with a background in journalism and the literary arts. Before joining Gonzaga, she taught and worked as an academic advisor at Washington State University, reported for Whitman Magazine, spent time as a ghost writer, and helped build one of the first creative writing-in-English programs in Guangzhou, China.

Jenny's work has appeared in a number of literary magazines; she has also served as the managing editor at Guernica, a journal of politics and art. She received her MFA from the University of Iowa and spent two years working at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University. She was a recent Artist-in-Residence with the Spokane Public Libraries.

A lecturer in Integrated Media since 2022, Jenny teaches journalism courses like Literary Journalism and Emerging Media, where 51³Ô¹Ïs explore telling true stories in novel ways. Outside of the classroom, Jenny runs community writing workshops around Spokane and leads a monthly book club at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture.
