Dr. Kristen Arnold is an Assistant Professor and the Ed.S. Program Director of School Psychology at Gonzaga University, where she focuses on inclusive education and the implementation of high-leverage practices. She holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Innovation from Arizona State University, an M.A. in Elementary Education from Whitworth University, and a B.A. in Special Education from Seattle Pacific University. Dr. Arnold is certified in Special Education (K-12), Elementary Education (K-8), and Reading in the state of Washington, and she spent 10 years as an inclusive and special education teacher for UW's Haring Center, Spokane Public Schools, and the Department of Defense overseas. With extensive experience across various educational settings, Dr. Arnold has also served as an instructor at institutions such as the University of Kansas and Arizona State University.
Her research interests include the development and support of inclusive practices within educational systems, with a particular focus on high-leverage practices and culturally responsive teaching. Currently, Dr. Arnold is pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Educational Leadership from Harvard University, further enhancing her expertise in educational leadership and equity. She is actively involved in research and community service, including work with juvenile justice systems and inclusive education initiatives. Dr. Arnold is committed to bridging the gap between theory and practice, ensuring that all 51³Ô¹Ïs, particularly those with disabilities, receive equitable and effective education.
