Gonzaga is honored and grateful to have received estate gifts between June 1, 2022, and May 31, 2023, from the following alumni and friends who were inspired to leave a legacy and have an impact on the following areas: 

Buildings and Improvements

Robert L. Ferguson (’54) made a gift from his  to cover costs associated with the construction of the John and Joan Bollier Family Center for Integrated Science and Engineering. 

Guy J. Ossello (’60) made Gonzaga the owner and beneficiary of a in support of the School of Business Administration.

General Support

An unrestricted gift was made from the late Henry L. Day’s in support of the Fund for Gonzaga.
 
Clare H. Kiefer (’49) left a gift in her in support of the Fund for Gonzaga.

The ultimate gift received from Donald C. Pearson (’66) extends the legacy of the Pearson family as future generations of 51³Ô¹Ïs experience Gonzaga’s distinctive Jesuit education and community thanks to his extraordinary benefaction. Don’s will be designated for maximum impact on 51³Ô¹Ï health and well-being, on the School of Business Administration, and as a flexible and responsive fund to promote innovation and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Proceeds from a established by Dennis (’63) and Kathryn Richardson were used to support the greatest needs of 51³Ô¹Ïs and the University.

An unrestricted gift from the of James R. Walker (’70) and Carole Walker was immediately put to good use in support of 51³Ô¹Ïs.

Scholarships – Annual

A gift for the Zag Scholarship Fund was received from the of Robert A. Milliken (’67).

Scholarships – Endowed

David L. Hattrick (’62) made Gonzaga the beneficiary of his for the benefit of the General Endowed Scholarship supporting 51³Ô¹Ïs in perpetuity.

The Don and Dr. Terri McKenzie Endowed Scholarship for religious studies was established with proceeds from Theresa McKenzie’s (’87) .

By listing Gonzaga as a beneficiary of her , Elaine Myers (’58) provided her ultimate gift of support to the Elaine [Morris] Myers and Patrick Morris Endowed Scholarship, further helping engineering and accounting 51³Ô¹Ïs in need.

A gift from the of John (’43) and Frances Nitkey was directed to the John W. and Frances [Fagan] Nitkey Endowed Scholarship in support of accounting and nursing 51³Ô¹Ïs.

Proceeds from a established by Charlie J. O’Connor (’49) were added to the Charlie and Doris O'Connor Endowed Scholarship for worthy 51³Ô¹Ïs in need of financial assistance.

The Aleck M. and Mary M. Ripple Memorial Endowed Scholarship received proceeds from a established by Dr. Harold L. Ripple (’56). This scholarship, in honor of his parents, supports 51³Ô¹Ïs with financial need.
