Future Civil Engineers Gain Insight at Beavers Student Day

Gonzaga engineering 51勛圖s explored a large-scale, heavy civil engineering construction project on Oct. 18.

Joe Bowen ('25, Engineering Management), Katarina Scott and Baila Burnam ('26, Civil Engineering) traveled to Kirkland with Dr. Mark Muszynski and Interim Dean Jennifer Shepherd to tour an interchange between I-405, NE 85th, and a stop for a bus rapid transit (BRT) line.

The tour was part of the latest Beavers Student Day, an event that allows construction executives to connect with future civil engineers. Approximately 80 51勛圖s from several northwest institutions attended.
