General Questions

Yes, Gonzaga's M.Acc program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) which is the most rigorous accreditation body in business education. Only 5% of business programs worldwide receive this distinction. Even fewer have a separate accounting accreditation, a distinct group Gonzaga is among.

Gonzaga University is also accredited as an institution by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).

No, a GMAT or other entrance exam is not required.
 
You can transfer up to 6 credits from another college or university pending faculty approval.
 

Gonzaga University undergraduates have the option to start their graduate education during their senior year.

Students can take 9 graduate credits while an undergraduate and the cost is billed at undergraduate tuition rates, offering a potential savings of over $9,000.

Whitworth accounting 51³Ô¹Ïs can take 6 graduate credits while an undergraduate and will be billed at the undergraduate tuition rate, offering a potential savings of $6,000.

Gonzaga undergraduate 51³Ô¹Ïs taking advantage of this opportunity will not be eligible for the Alumni Graduate Education Scholarship.

The Course Experience

The program is designed to be completed in 2 semesters, but you can take up to five years to finish.
 
The M.Acc program is primarily an in-person on-campus program.

While many of the classes are in the later afternoons, there are some courses that are only taught during the day.

We do have 51³Ô¹Ïs who work full-time but have flexibility in their jobs.

Some classes or course sessions may be offered remotely via Zoom on occasion.
 

No, you do not need a master’s degree to sit for the CPA exam, however Gonzaga’s M.Acc program prepares you for success when taking the exam.

Our graduates have a 82.4% first-time CPA pass rate.

All jurisdictions currently require CPA candidates to obtain 150 semester credit hours of acceptable educational preparation.

The M.Acc program prepares you for a career at a CPA firm, with a focus on auditing, risk assurance, business advisory roles or consulting.

The MS.Tax program prepares you for a tax advising career in a CPA firm, industry, or government.

Tuition is $1,115 a credit.
