Signal processing is used in many industries and applications such as making audio and video files smaller, recognizing speech, detecting objects using radar or sonar, studying the Earth's structure, transmitting data efficiently, creating economic models, producing medical images like CAT and MRI scans, and predicting the weather. Telecommunications, renewable energy, defense and aerospace all demand professionals with DSP & control skills.

What You'll Study in Digital Signal Processing & Control Systems

You will study topics like sampling, filtering, Fourier analysis, and signal modulation. Linear algebra, calculus, and differential equations form the basis of signal processing. You'll use coding languages such as MATLAB and Python to implement algorithms and simulate systems.
