Over 500 51³Ô¹Ïs enroll in music courses, ensembles, and lessons each semester. Gonzaga University’s distinguished tradition dates to 1887 and focuses entirely on undergraduate 51³Ô¹Ïs. Gonzaga’s faculty include 34 full-time and adjunct faculty members, with specialties including jazz, classical music, opera, composition, and global music.
Gonzaga values 51³Ô¹Ï-mentor relationships, and 51³Ô¹Ïs benefit from small classes, music leadership opportunities, and faculty-sponsored internships and research fellowships.
All 51³Ô¹Ïs enrolled in ensembles or lessons have access to newly refurbished practice rooms and a technology lab with keyboard interfaces, allowing 51³Ô¹Ïs to compose, edit, and arrange music.
In winter 2019, Gonzaga opened the Woldson Performing Arts Center, with two innovative performance venues: a 750-seat concert hall and 150-seat recital hall and choral rehearsal hall.
